Amber Mullins an 88 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 8:16 p.m., Wednesday, December 05, 2018, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond, MO, where she had been as a Alzheimer’s patient for the past 8 years.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  There will be a visitation from 10:00 until service time Monday with open viewing to begin at noon on Sunday.  Memorial donations are suggested to Shirkey Hospice and Palliative Care and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Amber Lucille Mullins was born June 22, 1930 in Trenton, MO to Chester Arthur and Blanche (Robertson) Williams.  She graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1948.  After high school Amber worked as a switch operator for Grand River Mutual.  On January 5, 1952 she was united in marriage to Doyle Mullins in Trenton, MO.  He preceded her in death in August 17, 2004.  Amber spent most of her adult life as a full time wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing for her family and was an active supporter of her children and grandchildren in all their sport, school and church activities. Amber and Doyle farmed south of Trenton from 1958 to 1969, they farmed east of Humphreys from 1969 to 1982, and then moved back to Trenton in 1982.  Amber was an active and involved member of the Liberty Chapel Christian Church. She also was an avid walker and lover of her dogs who were like family to her.

Surviving relatives include her son Dennis Mullins and wife Sheryl of Independence, MO, daughters Diane Simpson and husband Mike of Agency, MO and Sherry Street of Stet, MO, six grandchildren Chris Mullins of Kansas City, MO, Aaron Mullins of Independence, MO, Lindsey Strong and husband Brandon of St. Joseph, MO, Scott Simpson and wife Kass of St. Joseph, MO, Brad Street and wife Kristina of Kearney, MO and Daniel Street and wife Jaclyn of Gallatin, MO, six greatgrandchildren, Kaleigh and Brett Strong, Channing and Carter Simpson, and Harper Street and Ellison Street,  sister-in-laws Betty Mullins of Trenton, and, Mary Alice McLallen and Richard of Chillicothe, also, many nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, sisters Edith Glidewell and Marie Douglas Hague, brothers Walter and Cecil and a son-in-law Steve Street.
