Maxine Pennell, an 84 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:31 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Women’s Shelter and may be left with or mailed to Whitaker Eads Funeral Home.  There will be a private family inurnment following the services.
Lena Maxine Pennell was born March 23, 1934 in Trenton, MO to Howard and Bessie Rose (Brees) Wilson.  She graduated from Trenton High School and on September 14, 1952 she was united in marriage to Pat Ross Pennell.  From 1968 until 2003 they resided in Denver, CO.  She returned to Trenton in 2003.  Maxine enjoyed volunteering in the community and spent time volunteering with the Women’s Shelter and knitting slippers for Head Start, family and friends.  In her younger years Maxine traveled extensively.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, bowling, playing cards with friends and family, knitting, and helping others.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Janet Alderton of Highland Ranch, CO, sons Tim Pennell and wife Maria of Spain, and Jeff Pennell of Westminster, CO, sisters Mildred Pendlay of Trenton, and Madolyn Collins of Kansas City, MO, seven grandchildren; Katie Pennell, Megan Linhoff, Matthew Alderton, Max Alderton, Molly Alderton, Jennifer Pennell, and Michael Pennell, and three great grandchildren Alejandra Pennell, Alicia Pennell, and Lila Linhoff.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, son Thomas Michael Pennell, and sisters Marceline Brown, Marian Seaman, and Martha Kidd.

Bob and I send our love and thoughts to Maxine's family. Maxine was a wonderful, caring person. I was happy to have known her.
