Marie Smiley-Yardley, an 86 year old resident of Milan, MO, passed away at the Milan Health Care Facility on Friday January 19, 2018 at 7:57 AM. The body will be cremated under the direction of Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.
Ellen Marie Smiley-Yardley was born May 7, 1931 near Humphreys, MO to James Edward and Mary Ellen (Pierce) Smiley. She attended the Missouri School for the Deaf located in Fulton, MO. She resided in the Humphreys and Newtown communities much of her life. On February 17, 2007 she was united in marriage to Joe Yardley in Milan. Marie was a member of the Newtown Christian church.
Marie is survived by her husband of Milan, a sister Lillian Ruff and husband Ron of Independence, MO, and two brothers Charles Smiley and wife Johnna of Galt, MO, and Bob Smiley of Galt.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Amber Smiley and Marjorie Scott, and a brother J.L. Smiley.
