Helen Whitney, a 93 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away Thursday, October 06, 2016 in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A visitation is scheduled from 2:00 until 4:00 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
Helen Whitney was born May 1, 1923 in Rural Grundy County to J.W. and Ruby (Clifton) Duncan. On April 2, 1941 she was united in marriage to Harry Dale Whitney. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2004.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Virginia Frey and husband John of Grandview, MO, son-in-law, David Stover, daughter-in-law, Laura Whitney, grandchildren Douglas and wife Jennifer, Machelle, Kevin and wife Kristy, Brian and wife Tawni, Michael and wife Angie, Nathan and wife Jamie, Natalie and her husband Steve, and Denise, great grandchildren; Zach and wife Jamie, Jenna and husband Stan, RyLee, Ashley, Lillian, Skylar, Maci, Aaliyah, Addison, Azlyn, Rozlynn, Damon, Jayme, Collyn, Elexus, Erick, Nick, Justin, Emma, Logan, Kaylynn, Corbin, and a great-great grandson Jaxon.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, son, Derald Whitney and daughter, Christine Stover.
