Mary Richardson, a 78 year old Harris, MO resident, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at her home while under hospice care.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Trenton. A scheduled visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to service time, at the church. Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Richardson was born on January 18, 1938 the daughter of Earl and Gertie (Simmons) Thompson in Buffalo Center, IA. She graduated from Lakota High School in Lakota, IA. She was married to LeRoy Richardson on March 30, 1958 at Elmore, MN. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Trenton. She was a farm wife whom loved the Lord, the farm life, her horses and donkeys, cooking for all the farm help, family, and friends. She was raised in northern Iowa, then later the family moved to northern Missouri.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by a daughter, Lynett Clapham and her husband, Doug of Harris, MO; 2 sisters, Cyndy Kauffman of Muscatine, IA and Janice Ehrich of Blue Earth, MN; a brother, Phillip Thompson of Pipestone, MN; sisters-in-law, Arlene Frazier of Arnold, MO, Phyllis Althoff of Red Wing, MN, Janet Rasche of Riverdale, UT, and Olive Richardson of Swea City, IA; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Gail Kauffman, Larry Ehrich, John Richardson, Vernon Richardson, Lawrence Richardson Jr, Dennis Frazier, Joe Althoff; sisters-in-law, Leslie Thompson and Phyllis Richardson; and 6 nieces and nephews.

Lynett.....I am so sorry for the loss of your mother! I have many fond memories of seeing her watch for me at her front door while delivering mail, and walking the dogs down her lane. She was always quick with a smile and a wave no matter where I would see her!

I saw in the obituary that your family is related to a very good friend in Blue Earth, but lived here in Missouri a few years. Harley and Doris Paschke were church friends for a few years and are still our long distance friends. We are sorry for your loss.
