Betty Elliott, an 86 year old, former Trenton, resident, passed away Saturday evening at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April, 27, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A visitation is scheduled from 7:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.  Open visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Edinburg I.O.O.F Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Betty Dean Elliott was born August 18, 1929 in Humansville, MO to Homer Lee and Allie Irene (Marrs) Routh.  On April 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to Carol Elliott in Trenton.  Together they farmed in the Jamesport, Chillicothe and Tindall, MO communities.  Betty also worked as a Wal-Mart Associate in Chillicothe for 15 years.

Surviving relatives include her husband Carol of Chillicothe, daughter Judy Seifert and her husband Wayne of Chillicothe, son John Elliott and his wife Vicky of Columbia, MO, sister Jessie Burkeybile and her husband Leroy of Trenton, grandchildren Cassandra Cody and her husband John, Dayna Elliott, Tera Jones and her husband Darvel, and Erik Hurst and his wife Theresa, and seven great grandchildren; Finn Cody, Melanie Slovak, and Allison, Hannah, Elaina, Nicholas and Elizabeth Hurst.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, brothers Bob, Otie and Sonny Routh, and an infant daughter Linda.

Even though I haven't been around my Aunt Betty for years I will truly miss her. Rest in Peace Aunt Betty.

Such a wonderful lady! I spent many, many enjoyable moments with Betty and I loved her like a mother. I have thought of her often and have missed her dearly over the years. Rest in Peace, Betty!
