Lawrence Stimpson, a 69 year old resident of Trenton, passed away Wednesday evening at his computer office in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the First Christian Church of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton with military graveside rites to follow.  Open visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday at Resthaven Mortuary.

Mr. Stimpson was born on October 7, 1941 in Trenton, MO the son of Howard and Helen Morrow Stimpson.  He graduated Galt High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam.  He lived in Florida before moving to Trenton in the mid 80s’  He was married to Janice Wilson Osborn on September 23, 1990 in Trenton, MO.  He ran Lawrence’s Technical computer shop in Trenton.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class.  He sang in the choir and participated in the bell choir.

Mr. Stimpson is survived by his wife, Janice of the home; a step son, Andy Osborn of Trenton, MO; a son, Larry Stimpson of Alabama; a daughter, Teresa Stimpson of Georgia; a brother, Jerry Stimpson and his wife, Vicki of Harris, MO; 2 step granddaughters, Ashley and Ayron Osborn; and 5 grandchildren, William, Eliazbeth, Toby, Billy, and William.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Rex.
