Kenneth Parton, a 75 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 2:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, MO.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation will be from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.  Open visitation will begin Friday morning at 9:00.  Memorial donations are suggested for the funeral expenses and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Kenneth Emery Parton was born August 13, 1940 in Altamont, MO to Frank George and Ruthy Mae (Vickers) Parton.  He graduated from Maysville High School.  On September 16, 1965 he was united to Dixie Holsted.  From 1970 until 2005 Kenny was a self employed over the road truck driver.  He also worked as a foreman for ONI Bottling Co for nine years as well as drove the O.A.T.S. bus for five years in Trenton.

Surviving relatives include his wife Dixie Parton of the home, four children Michael and Mitchell Parton, both of Trenton, Michelle Parton of Kansas City, MO and Kenneth Wayne Parton of Virginia, a brother Melvin Parton of Osborn, MO a sister Jessie Cole and her husband Ed of Cameron, MO and 8 grandchildren.

Those preceding him in death include his parents and a son Ronnie Parton.

I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. Were told you'll see him again & he is free of pain. I know you both know that but it still hurts to give them up. May God Bless you both & watch over you in your travels. Donna Whitt
