Mrs. Viola Pollard, a 98 year old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, passed away at 3:47 AM Thursday November 25, 2010 at the Wright Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 3 days.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A scheduled visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Pollard was born on December 22, 1911 the daughter of Benjamin and Desta Manual Lawrence.  She was married to Albert Ray Pollard on April 8, 1933; he preceded her in death on February 16, 1985.  She worked at Browns Dress Shop from 1965 to 1977 and had been a homemaker and seamstress all her life.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton.

Mrs. Pollard is survived by three daughters, Clarice, now Mrs. Louis Pushkarsky and Linda Hudson both of Trenton,, MO and Karen Renfro of Warrensburg, MO; a sister, Bonieta Shockey of Trenton, MO; 5 grandchildren, Larry and David Ingraham, Craig and Leslie Ferril and Suzan Kirkendall and by 5 great-grandchildren, Caleb & Jesse Ingraham, Heidi Day, Christopher and Andrea Kirkendall and by 2 great-great-grandchildren, Caden Ingraham and Link Day.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Georgia Wynne and Arinda Lawrence; 1 brother, Russell Lawrence; and 1 grandchild, John Brian Renfro.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
