Roberta Kay Reid, 74, passed away at 10:35 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, Missouri. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  An open visitation will begin 9:00 AM Friday, December 19 at Resthaven. Memorial contributions are suggested to 10th Street Baptist Church or the 65 North Senior Center and can be mailed to Resthaven Mortuary at PO Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
Kay was born on January 23, 1940 in Spickard, Missouri to Bert Persell and Clara Stottlemyer. She married Charley Reid on April 22, 1967 in Trenton. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2009.
Kay enjoyed playing pitch with her friends and bowling. She was a member of the 10th Street Baptist Church in Trenton.
Survivors include her step sons, David Reid and wife Terri of Trenton, and Dane Reid of Brimson; step daughter, Deborah Dowell and husband Ronny of Trenton; step daughter in law, Rose Reid of Princeton; sisters, Opal Swopes of Trenton and Lola Joe Veatch of Carrollton, MO;  half brothers, Jerry Dean Conners and Red Conners; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charley, and sisters Becky and Olive.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one. I pray that the many happy memories of Kay's life with all of you will, with time, overcome the sadness and pain. May it comfort you that she now sits with the lord in the place he prepared for her. John 3:15.
