Henrietta Stamper, a 70 year old resident of Spickard, MO, passed away Friday, October 29th at Bethany, MO, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Henrietta was born in Spickard, MO the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Crawford) Christowski.  She graduated from Spickard High School.  On July 2, 1983 she married Ben Stamper who survives her of the home.  Henrietta retired from US Bank in 2004 after 42 years in banking.  Henrietta was involved with many organizations and served many years as Treasurer of the Spickard Alumni Association.  Henrietta’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Henrietta is also survived by two daughters, Krista and her husband Russell Place of Norwalk, IA, Julie and her husband Marty Prewitt of Bethany, MO and one son Howard Stamper and his wife Deb of Liberty, MO.  She had 5 grandchildren; Leslie and her Husband Dan Merriman and Russell Place of Norwalk, IA, Jessica Prewitt of Bethany, MO, and Lili and Paulina Stamper of Liberty, MO, one great-grandson Tanner Merriman of Norwalk, one brother, Henry Christowski of Norwalk, IA.  Henrietta was also survived by her brother and sisters in law who she loved very much.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 Monday evening at the funeral home.  Open visitation will begin at 9 Monday morning at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrison County Hospice or the Spickard Christian Church.  Condolences may be left online at whitakereads.com
