Kenneth R. Harkins, a 52 year old resident of Trenton, passed away at 5:04 a.m. on Friday, June 06, 2014 at his residence while under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Resthaven.
Mr. Harkins was born on September 7, 1961 in Independence, MO the son of Rex and Jane (Fouts) Harkins. He was married to Neva Sue Leivick on January 14, 1995 in Edinburg, MO.
He is survived by his wife, Neva Harkins of Trenton, MO; sons, Layton, Corey and Kaleb; and sister, Debbie Guffey and her husband, Neil of Trenton, MO; in-laws, Keith and Darlene Leivick; a sister in law, Linda Bain and her husband, Bill; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Jessica, Jenna, Nathan, Brandon, Jerry, Eddie, and Jason; 2 uncles, Lanny Harkins and his wife, Linda and Mike Harkins and his wife, Sonna.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Otto and Rohama Harkins, and Kenneth and Eva Fouts; and an aunt, Vicki Harkins.
