Goldie Twylaann Ruegsegger, 79, a longtime resident of Galt, MO, passed from this life early on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Ruegsegger, known only as Goldie to many people, was a lover of music. She was eager to demonstrate her Christian faith through her talents, and spent many years teaching piano, playing music in churches, schools, and nursing homes or just with friends.  
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Galt Christian Church. Burial will be in the Berry Cemetery, north of Galt. Open visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, with a scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt.
Mrs. Ruegsegger was born on March 28, 1934 in Parnell, IA the daughter of Irving and Ethel (Alexander) Gingerich. She was married to Milo Austin Ruegsegger on September 3, 1953; he preceded her in death on November 10, 1978.
Goldie is survived by 2 sons, Austin Lee Ruegsegger and Richard Duane Ruegsegger, both of Galt, MO; and a daughter, Marlene Rae Borntreger and her husband, Jonas of Oxford, IA, 2 brothers, Donald Gingerich of Parnell, Iowa and Jerry (Danette) Gingerich of Coralville, Iowa; 4 sisters, Patty (Rex Doyle) Gibson of Phoenix, AZ, Trula (Max) Nida of Coralville, Iowa, Lois (Wilson) Miller of Kalona, Iowa, and Ethel (Ed) Hetrick of Azle, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also remained close to her husband’s two older daughters, Mary Jean Kenney and her husband, Lyle and Kathleen McBenge both of Seattle, WA and a former spouse Rev. Mansel Campbell of Galt. Two grandchildren, Milo and Yolanda Ruegsegger were also especially close to Goldie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Milo Ruegsegger, a great granddaughter and two brothers-in-law.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Berry Cemetery, they can be left at or mailed to Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, 813 Custer, Trenton, MO 64683.

Sorry to hear of Goldie's passing. She will be missed so much. She stayed at my house when she came to Iowa and we had good times together. Played music, went to tulip time in Pella, and just talking.

I met Goldie through the County Clerk's office. She was an election judge for me and was always concerned with following the rules right. She was a joy to work with and I always liked having the chance to visit with her. God Bless your family during this time of loss.

I would like to tell the family how sorry we are to here of the lost of there mo Goldie. my deepest Sympathy . To her children Richard and Austin also to her daughter. My prays will be with your family at this time. God Bless you all and I know you are in his thauts.
