Billy Stubbs, a 76 year old Warsaw, MO resident and former Trenton resident, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the University of Columbia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Open visitation will begin Friday afternoon at the funeral home. Private burial in the Shelburne Cemetery.
Mr. Stubbs was born on January 20, 1938 in Jamesport, MO the son of Walter and Arby (Shriver) Stubbs. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He was married to Martha Coffman on July 10, 1968 in Trenton, MO.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Stubbs of Warsaw, MO; 2 daughters, Lisa Kirk of Bethany, MO and Anita Williams of Lamoni, IA; 4 grandchildren, Bryce Kirk, Taya Kirk, Kassy Rowland, and Madison Williams; 3 sisters, Donna Noah of Warsaw, MO, Iola May Percell of St. Joseph, MO, and Emma Bankson of Trenton, MO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Stubbs; and 6 brothers, Ellis, Melville, Dallas, Clifford, Don, and Larry Stubbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help with medical expenses.

Rest in peace, my friend. I know you're healthy again and singing in Heaven with your favorite country singers who passed away before you.

Lisa-So sorry about your dad. Thinking of you and your family during this sad time. You are the ones suffering now, not him. And you are strong and will be able to overcome the sadness. God bless you and your family!
