Sharon E. Whitney, a 69 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 10:48 a.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.  Burial will be in the Edinburg I.O.O.F Cemetery in Edinburg, MO.  A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 7:30 at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the City of Trenton Park Dept. and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Sharon Whitney was born January 30, 1944 in Galt, MO to Leon and Geraldine (Carver) Davis.  She graduated from Trenton High School.  On June 10, 1962 she was united in marriage to Ronald “Bloss” Whitney in Edinburg, MO.  He preceded her in death October 25, 1998.  Sharon worked for Mart Drug Store, Fair Drug and the Family Care Pharmacy. She was a member of the 10th Street Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include her son Jeff Whitney and his wife Melinda of Camdenton, MO, daughters Denise Thomas of Trenton, MO and Dawn Sjomeling and her husband Guy of Republic, MO, a brother Jerry Davis and his wife Nikki of Trenton, MO, a sister Helen Hansen and her husband Merlin of Lexington, MO and 5 grandchildren: Nicolas Thomas, Dawson and Jordan Sjomeling and Hannah and Connor Whitney.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, and a grandson Zachary Thomas Whitney.

Sending my thoughts and sympathies to Sharon's family. She was a very nice person and so loved by her husband. He would mention her from time to time when I would see him at the service station. They were both wonderful Trenton people.
