Blanche Sibbit, a 98 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, April 01, 2013 at the Eastview Manor Care Center, where she had resided since 1997.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Tindall Christian Church. Gail Brown will officiate.  A scheduled family visitation will be from 7 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery, north of Trenton.
Mrs. Sibbit was born September 3, 1914 in Daviess County, the daughter of Mart and Pearl (Fauver) Watts. She graduated from Jamesport High School.  She was married to Gerald “Knot” Sibbit on March 13, 1937; he preceded her in death on November 4, 2000. They lived and farmed all their married lives on their farm 3 miles northwest of Tindall. She was active in the Christian Womens Fellowship, County Extension Work, 4-H, and a Quilt Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting, garden work, and her flowers.
Mrs. Sibbit is survived by a son, Leonard Sibbit and his wife, Karen of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Marilyn Ripple and her husband, Rick of Gallatin, MO; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a 4 month old daughter, Meryl Ann Sibbit; and 2 sisters, Ruey Fitzpatrick and Martha Mooney.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Regional Hospice of Gallatin, they can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
