Marcia Reid, a 68 year old former Hickory and Trenton resident, passed away at 11:28 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Quail Run Nursing Home in Cameron, MO.
Her remains are being cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Church of Nazarene in Trenton.  Rev Steve Bramblett will officiate.  Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton is in charge of arrangements.  Cards can be mailed to 23977 E 250 Ave, Ridgeway, MO  64481.
Mrs. Reid was born on July 12, 1943 the daughter of Guy Jr and Carrolyn (Schroll) Henry.  She received her associate degree from Trenton Junior College.  She was married to George Franklin Hamlin in 1959; she later married Loren Dale Reid in 1961.  She worked at Jolly Rancher Candy Factory in Denver, CO before moving back to Missouri, she lived in Hickory for 40 years until moving to Trenton three years ago.  She was a member of the William C Jackson Post 6060 VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Elizabeth City, NC.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Karen Harding and her husband, Tom of Ridgeway, MO and Kimberly Cottrell of Waverly, MO; a sister, Phyliss Harmon of Sunbury, NC; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Kennedy and her husband, Ryan of Trenton, MO, Monica Gates of Waverly, MO, and Jacob Cottrell of Trenton, MO; several great grandchildren; and a nephew, Justin Harmon of Bakersfield, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Dale Reid; and a great grandson, Quillan Cottrell.
