MO, prior to Cameron, MO, they lived in Liberty, MO from 2007-2011, Wheeling, MO from 1997-2007, Newtown, MO from 1964-1997 passed away at 11:10 a.m., Saturday, March 03, 2012.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Payne Funeral Home of Galt, MO. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery at Harris, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday. Memorial donations are suggested to the Disabled American Veteran’s and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Hal Tipton was born October 15, 1919 in Harris, MO to William Henry and Waneva McLin Tipton. He served in the United States Army during WWII and retired after 20 years of service on May 31, 1963. On August 2, 1963 he was united in marriage to Hildegard Grullmayer in Heidelberg, Germany. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2011.
Surviving relatives include his sons, Daniel Tipton, of Azle, Texas,
David Tipton of Grant Parks, IL, daughters, Patty Wendler of Liberty,
NY, Peggy Marlett of Sugar Creek, MO, a brother Bill Tipton of Wheeling, MO and sisters Willa Jean of Davenport, IA, Betty Jo Stith of Chillicothe, MO and Bonnie Roland of Troy OH and 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife and a step daughter Norma Jean Torrens.
