Betty Ann Putrah, an 81 year old resident of Trenton, MO, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 04, 2011 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home of Trenton.

The body was cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Trenton.  Rev. Craig Stark will officiate.  An inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at the Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, MN.

Mrs. Putrah was born on January 10, 1930 in Vernon Center, MN to Elmer and Emma Bowles Herrlich.  She was married to Glenn Putrah on January 22, 1950 in Vernon Center, MN.  She was a resident of Trenton, MO and former resident of the Half Rock Community.  She was a partner in the family farming operation for 61 years; served as Medicine Township tax collector for 8 years; member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was an avid gardener.

Mrs. Putrah is survived by her husband, Glenn Putrah of the home; 3 children, Denise Putrah of Manassas Park, VA; Jean Collings and her husband Clay of Princeton, MO; and Daniel Putrah and his wife Beth of Paris, MO; a son-in-law, Bob Lovgren of Santa Barbara, CA; 5 grandchildren, Clint Collings and his wife Jamie of Fairmont, OK, Jason Collings of Ravenwood, MO, Burton Putrah of Burlington, VT, Ann Putrah of Lawrence, KS, and Conrad Putrah of Laramie, WY; 2 great granddaughters, Jayln and Alexa Collings; a brother Ivan Herrlich of Kenyon, MN, and a half brother, John Mack of Amboy, MN, and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and oldest daughter, Doreen.
