Ed Persell, a 52 year old resident of Gladstone, MO, passed away at 1:04 AM Sunday July 31, 2011 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO from natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at the Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton. Memorial contributions have been suggested to American Heart Association, Meadowbrook Methodist Church, or Bikers for Babies. These may be left at or mailed to the Resthaven Mortuary at P.O.Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.

Edward Lewis Persell was born on May 21, 1959 at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO the son of Dewayne and Eathel McNabb Persell. He was raised and lived in Gladstone. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1978. He also attended computer tech school and heating and air conditioning school. His dream place was in rural Trenton, MO where he enjoyed hunting with his son Devin, his brother Steve and his friends.
Ed worked for many years at Owens Corning, Dies, Inc, in the heating and cooling business and most recently in maintance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He was always available to help any friend known or unknown. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He was a member of the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church in Gladstone, MO.

Eddie is survived by two sons, Devin Persell and his fiancée, Ashley and Wes Persell of Kansas City, MO; his mother, Eathel McNabb of Gladstone, MO; one brother, Steve Persell and his wife, Nancy of Pleasant Valley, MO; a sister, Jackie, now Mrs. Jim Trimble of Lake Stephens, WA; two granddaughters, Zoe Persell and a soon to be born granddaughter, Liliana Grace Persell; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Dewayne Persell, his grandparents, Trevlin and Frieda McNabb and Kenneth and Lulu Persell, uncle, Marvin Persell, aunt, Ruth Kinate and a niece, Rachael Persell and a cousin, Terry Persell.

I worked with Ed at dies Inc.
he was always happy and willing to help
anyway he could ! we have all lost a good friend way to early .
