Robert Gott, an 81 year old Galt, MO resident, passed away at 1:25 p.m., December 10, 2018 at St. Luke’s North in Kansas City, MO.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December13, 2018 at the Galt Christian Church in Galt.  His body is to be cremated following the services with future inurnment in Galt West Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at the church.  Open visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Galt Christian Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Robert Isaac Gott was born February 12, 1937 in Trenton to Loren B. and Minnie (Long) Gott.  Bob served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956.  On July 29, 1956 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Davis.  She preceded him in death March 17, 1995.  He was remarried to Mary Hahn on June 20, 1995 in Galt.  She also preceded him in death January 31, 2007.  Bob ran Gott’s Garage from 1980 until 2014 and drove a bus as well as did mechanic work for the Grundy R-V School.  He was a member of the Galt Christian Church and the Galt Fire Protection District.

Surviving relatives include his sons Ben Gott and wife Sherril of Galt, James Gott and wife Dennine of Galt, and Noel Gott and wife Ellen of Chillicothe, brother Charles Gott of Trenton, six grandchildren Robbie Gott and wife Annaka of Macon, MO, Angie Gott of Chillicothe, Corey Gott and wife Amanda of Trenton, Shawn Gott and wife Sue of Mercer, Bryce and Brock Gott of Chillicothe, eight great grandchildren Anastasia, Zayden, Aubriana, Zandyr, Delaney, Addison, Wesley and Brett and his dog Sugar.

Those preceding him in death include his parents, wives, daughter Cindy Gott, and sisters Mary Lee Goldsby, Linda Douglas, and Ethel McCulley.
