David Harding Johnson an 89 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery near Osgood, MO.  A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time on Saturday.  Open visitation will begin at Noon on Thursday.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Campground Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born on April 12, 1921 in Osgood, MO, the son of David Henry Johnson and Letha Jane Waller Johnson.  He was married to Josephine Elizabeth Raley on October 16, 1943 in Paola, KS.  She preceded him in death on January 1, 2011.  Mr. Johnson was a mechanic most of his life.  He drove a milk truck and worked as a farm hand for many years.  He also taught shop at the Galt School.  Mr. and Mrs. Johnson attended the Tenth Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his son Floyd Johnson and his wife Sue of Trenton, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Sampson, a brother, two sisters, two grandsons and one granddaughter.
