Ted Miller, an 87 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 11:40 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Lenoir Woods Senior Living in Columbia, MO.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at Resthaven Mortuary.  Open visitation will begin at noon Thursday.  Memorial donations are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society of Missouri and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Terrell Wayne Miller was born September 15, 1929 in Trenton, MO to Harry and Novelynn (Martin) Miller.  From January 9, 1948 until December 28, 1951 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he worked as an aviation mechanic.  While in the service Ted met Barbara Ruth Johnson and on June 16, 1951 they were united in marriage in Jacksonville, FL.  She preceded him in death on June 19, 2001.  After his discharge from the Navy, Ted worked for the Rock Island Railroad.  He spent over 25 years with the railroad and during that time he also worked selling sweepers, cash registers, adding machines as well as owning a gas station for a while.  Also during this time he invented the Butter Pop Popcorn seasoning and with that started the T. Miller Popcorn Company which he ran until selling the company in 1996.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Pam Socha and husband Tom of Columbia, MO; a sister, Doris Jeane Diecidue of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Bob Miller and wife Judy of Jefferson City, MO and Ed Miller and wife Ruby of Nixa, MO; a grandson, Derek Clark of Columbia; a great granddaughter, Kimberlyn Clark of Columbia, MO; close friend, Margeaux Holmes and family; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife and a brother Harry “Bud” Miller Jr.
