Timothy Carl Boland, a 45-year-old resident of Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011. Tim, the son of Frederick and Sandra Boland, was born Dec. 21, 1965, in Columbia, Mo.
Tim grew up on a farm in Putnam County, Mo., and attended elementary and high school there before graduating from Trenton High School in 1984. He spent two years in the U.S. Navy and then moved back to Trenton, Mo., where he earned a licensed practical nursing degree from North Central Missouri College.
Survivors include his parents, Fred and Sandy Boland of Trenton, Mo.; three brothers, Ryan Boland of Fulton, Mo., Brock and Annell Boland of Columbia, Mo., and Brandt and Brooke Boland of Lenexa, KS; nieces and nephews, Jordyn Boland of Fulton, Mo., Madison, Avery and Gentry Boland of Lenexa, KS, and Freddie, Finn, Franklin and Faye Boland of Columbia, Mo., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Susie Collins, and his paternal grandparents, James and Norma Jean Boland.
Tim touched and showed kindness to many in his lifetime. We will be forever grateful to those who have displayed the same compassion to him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Trenton, Mo. Burial will be held at a later date at the Lucerne Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to be given to Preferred Family Healthcare or Grundy County Jewett Norris Library.
