Gary Stanton, a 66 year old Princeton, MO resident, went to be with his lord at 12:45 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2012 at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton, MO.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Southern Baptist Association and may be left or mailed to Whitaker Eads Funeral Home at 813 Custer, Trenton, MO 64683.

Gary A. Stanton was born November 19, 1945 in Utica, NY to Mildred Stanton.  After being raised in Utica he served in the United States Army.  He received an Associates Degree from Midwestern Seminary in 1990.  On June 20 1992 He was united in marriage to Judith Anderson in Jewitt, OH.  His ministry led them to many places since including Topeka, KS where he ran a halfway house for 12 years, Greenbay WI and Angola, LA where he served in ministering to prisoners, other communities like Trenton serving as a pastor.  H was also active with the LIONS club serving as a zone chairman.

Surviving relatives include his wife Judith Stanton of Princeton, MO, a daughter Carol Hughs and her husband Matt of Pattonsburg, MO, a step son Larry Stottsberry and his wife Brenda of Cambridge, Ohio, a brother Hank Stanton and his wife Patti of Clinton, NY, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Those preceding him in death include his parents and a sister Sandra Stanton.
