Bob Kimzey, 77, a resident of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away at 10:21 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his home, where he was under hospice care.

Gaveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines, IA.  A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 Friday evening at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton, MO.

Mr. Kimzey was born on November 12, 1933 in New Virginia, IA the son of Kenneth and Edna Woods Kimzey.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was married to Millie Mefford on January 12, 1963 in Des Moines, IA.  

Surviving relatives include his wife, Millie of the home; a daughter, Paula Terrell and her husband, Steve, of Lutz, FL; a son, Scott Kimzey and his wife, Tessie, of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Janice Caudle; a sister-in-law, Kathrine Kimzey Jerguson; and a granddaughter, Libby Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Kimzey; a sister, Joyce Benge; and two brothers, William Kimzey and Max Kimzey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to HPH Hospice, Hudson, FL.
