ABANY, John S. Of Mansfield, formerly of Hyde Park, June 9, age 63. Former husband of Patricia Abany (Roche). Devoted son of the late Samuel & Emily (Cristadoro). Cherished father of Samuel Abany of Mansfield & Kaitlin Conway of Dorchester. Devoted brother of Charles of Hyde Park, Judy Padden of Norwood, Stephen of Boston, Mary Barry of Hyde Park, Richard of Hyde Park, Christine Abany of N. Easton, & Samuel of Mansfield. Loving "Papa" of Alexis, also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, inlaws & friends. Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., HYDE PARK, Monday morning at 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church, Milton at 10. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday evening 4-8. Childrens room available. John was a late US Postal Carrier of 38 years. He was a softball umpire of 25 years & a proud member of N.A.L.C. Union.
