PIRAINO, James F. Retired Boston Police Lt., of Quincy, formerly of Hyde Park, July 8, age 93. Beloved husband of the late Sarah A. (Diaferio). Loving father of Angela Perna and her husband Vito of Hyde Park, Joanne Massaro and her husband Arthur of Charlestown, Marie Piraino and her husband William Mateik of South Boston, Jamie Morris and her husband Steven of NYC, and the late Grace Nasson. Father-in-law of Thomas Nasson of Dedham. Brother of the late Catherine Gallerani. Uncle of Marianne Keegan of Roslindale and Michael Gallerani of Norwood. Loving "Grampy" of 8 grandchildren; "Big Grampy" of 12 great-grandchildren; and also survived by many relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30 at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., HYDE PARK, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Church, Hyde Park, at 10. Dear Piraino Family,
So very sorry to hear of Lt. Piraino's passing. He was my boss for quite a few years and also a very good friend at the Boston Police Department. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Piraino Family. He and Sarah were a terrific couple and I will keep them both in my thoughts and prayers.
