WHALEN, Sarah A. (Munichiello) Of Roslindale, Jan. 21st, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Thomas Whalen Jr., of 52 years. Devoted mother of Lisa Abdelnour and Michael Whalen both of Roslindale and the late Thomas, III. Cherished sister of the late Ralph Munichiello. Loving "Nana" of Shannon and Christopher Whalen. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St, HYDE PARK, Friday morning at 8. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Church, Hyde Park at 9:00AM. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 4:00-8:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale.

Sarah was a retired member of the Boston Teachers Union.
