PENNA, Nicholas Sr., of Milton, Dec. 26, surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Gina (Berardi) of 48 years. Cherished son of Theresa Penna and her late husband Amedo of Everett. Devoted father of Laura Shaw and her husband Chris of Canton and Nicholas Penna Jr. and his wife Amy of Newton. Brother of Maddalena Donnelly of Wakefield, Ines Penna and her partner Alceo of Everett and Rachel Capatosto and her husband Bob of Everett. Loving "Papa" of Robert, Nicholas, Michael, Grace, Trey and Harper and brother in-law of Ann and her husband Joe Ruotolo of Winchester and Bill Berardi and his wife Maureen of Milton, and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., Hyde Park, Wednesday morning at 8. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Parish, Hyde Park at 9:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment will be private and family's request.

In 1966 Nick Sr. founded Salon Capri in Hyde Park with his wife Gina. His vision has been carried on by his children and has grown to three locations in the Greater Boston Area. He will be greatly missed by many.
