Devoted father of Gail Schmidt and her husband Thomas of Hyde Park, William Jr. and his wife Karen of Mansfield, James and his wife Maura of Wrentham and Michelle Murphy and her husband Paul of Readville. Cherished brother of Doris Dalton and her husband John of Mashpee and the late John, Robert Emmett, and Jocko. Loving "Papa" of 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Visiting hours will be held Thursday morning from 9:30-11:00 at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak Street, HYDE PARK, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 11:30.
