Cherished brother of Tony of Newton, Nabil, Siham Harb, Marie Chedid all of Lebanon. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening from 4-8 at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St, HYDE PARK, childrens room available. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at 10 am at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church, 61 Rockwood St, Jamaica Plain. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be held in Lebanon. Latif was a scholar and was an inventor who held several patents. He was a graduate of Wentworth, Tufts, WPI, and Harvard. He was a professor of Engineering at Wentworth Institute and was the recipient of the Alumni Service Award. Latif wrote a paper on education of math and science which was sited by the National Science Board and was a loving father and husband.
