Hello Theresa, Joe, Chris and Debbie,
Liz had an amazilng gift of making everybody that she touched feel like they were her favorite -- I know this was true with children, and I suspect it was true with adults as well.
I came to know you all when I was a wet behind the ears kid who was a junior in college -- it would have been 1967. She simply adopted me, and I felt incredibly connected to your family.
She was simply the good mother that I never had.
I have so many memories of her, and of your family. Christmas eve after midnight mass, how many meals in your kitchen, roller skating at the Bal A Rou, and so many more. There will always be a space in my heart that will never be filled, but I am so grateful that I met her, and was welcomed into your family.
I was so impressed how you all continued to make her an important part of your lives even as you grew into adulthood -- your family ties never weakened. And I am very grateful that you were with her as she passed, just as she would have wished.
My deepest condolences. I share your sorrow. I know the world was a better place for all of the goodness that Liz Young brought to it.
Peter

Aunty Liz, I am going to miss your infectious laugh and your beautiful smile the most; you were always there for all of us as children growing up and adults. Everyone''s life that you touched, somehow you made it brighter.

TT, Joe,Chris and Deb,
We all shared parents on the avenue as if they were ours. If we stepped out of line they stepped right in. If we stopped by during meal time we were invited in. If we saw them carrying groceries we helped them the rest of the way. We were all cared for who ever was out the window watching over us on Shawmut Ave. She still is watching over us now. God Bless
