WHITTEMORE, Walter James Jr. "Wally" Passed away on Monday, March 7th at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Brockton surrounded by his loving family at the age of 71. Walter was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Rae) Whittemore.

He was a 1963 graduate of Don Bosco High School in Boston. Walter was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from the United State Postal Service. Walter was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 57 in Taunton. He was also a "Friend of Bill W" and was a long-time participant of the East Milton group.

Walter is survived by his long-time companion Rita Fish of North Attleboro, his brothers Arthur and his wife Eileen of Rayham and John and his wife Natalie of HIngham, several nieces, nephews, cousins and three aunts. Walter touched many people in his life and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., HYDE PARK, Friday morning at 9. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Church, Readville, at 10:00AM. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 4:00-8:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery.
