Estela V. Bowers, age 69 of Howe, IN died Thursday December 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Nogales, AZ on March 26, 1942 to Oscar F. & Estela (Murrieta) Villalvazo. She was a 1960 graduate of Nogales High School. She married Arthur W. Bowers on October 4, 1969 in Tustin, CA. He survives in Howe. She had worked at the thurston Wood Village Retirement Center for 20 years until her retiremnet. She enjoyed Bowling, Crocheting, spending time with her family and most of all, her 7 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, 2 sons and daughter-in-laws - Arthur W. & Bobbi Jo Bowers Jr of Howe, IN and Oscar E. & Julianna Bowers of LaGrange, IN. 1 daughter - Teresita F. Schultis of Kendallville, IN. 2 sisters and brother-in-laws - Consuelo & Harold Concepeon of LaPuenta, CA and Margarita & Daniel Jenkin of Santer, CA. 2 brothers and sister-in-laws - Oscar & Diane Villalvazo of Tustin, CA and Enrique & Sharon Villavazo of Las Vegas, NV. 7 grandchildren - Allison Bowers, Clinton Bowers, Bethany Schultis, Gabriel Schultis, Mercedi Bowers, Kyler Bowers and Elizabeth Hall. Several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday January 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 3 at 10 a.m. at the St Joseph Catholic Church, LaGrange, IN with the Father Andy Martinez officiating.
