Karen M. (Lowrey) McAtee, 49, of Howe, IN (formerly of Elkhart) died Sunday November 27, 2011 at her mother's residence in Howe, IN.  She was born on May 29, 1962 in McHenry, IL to Duane E. & Sharon (Carpenter) Lowrey.  Karen was previously employed at Kroger's in Sturgis, MI and Elkhart, IN and as a Doc Manager at Kem Krest in Elkhart, IN until she retired.  She was a member of the Elkhart Jaycee's and the Bowling Club in Elkhart.  She is survived by her husband - Ronald E. McAtee.  Her mother, 1 son - Ryne Haller of Elkhart, IN.  1 daughter - Kayla Haller of Elkhart, IN.  1 brother - Karl F. Lowrey of Lewis Center, OH.  1 sister - Kim Bender of LaGrange, IN.  The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday December 3, 2011 at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN with a memorial service immediately following at 1 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Ribbon of Hope.  Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN is in charge of the arrangements.
