Leslie W. Janes, age 61, of 7425 N 0505 N, Howe, IN died Thursday October 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at his residence.  He was born July 18, 1950 in Glasqau, KY to Leslie D. & Virginia (Bryant) Janes.  He married Charlotte V. Halsey on April 8, 1969 in Pleasant Lake, IN.  she survives.  Leslie had worked as a security guard at Wackenhut, Ross Lab's/ Abbott Industries and Weyerhaeaser.  He enjoyed Fishing and Repairing TV's and VCR's.  He is survived by his wife, 1 son - Kelly Janes & Jen Carlisle of Sturgis, MI.  1 daughter - Michelle Janes of Sturgis, MI.  1 sister - Pam & Jim Clem of Decatur, IN.  4 grandsons - Kurt Bathgate, Alex Carlisle, Damian Brand and Xavier Edginton.  3 granddaughters - Cierra Conklin, Alexis Janes and Abigail Carlisle.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins in Decatur, IN and Kentucky.   He was preceded in death by his parents.  A private viewing will be held for the family.  A Graveside service will be held on Sunday October 9, 2011 at the Brushy Chapel Cemetery, Wolcottville, IN at 2:00 p.m. with the pastor Clarence Combs of 5 Corners Baptist Church officiating.  Memorials may be given to the Janes family.  A celebration of life dinner for Leslie will be held immediately following burial at the Stroh Fire Department.  Arrangements are be Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.
