Betty Jane Lewis, age 69, of 245 Memorial Dr., Sturgis, MI died Thursday May 12, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. at her residence.  She was born on May 13, 1941 in Temple, MI to Vernon & Dorothy M. Northrup.  She had lived in LaGrange, IN prior to moving to Sturgis and had been employed at Mastercraft.  She is survived by;  1 son - Bruce & Tina Lewis of Howe, IN.  1 daughter - Patty Hart of Sturgis, MI.  2 brothers - Vernon Northrup of Wheeler, MI and Ned Northrup of Texas.  2 sisters - Verneal Harper of Sturgis, MI and Shirley Gee of California.  5 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers - John Northrup, Norman Northrup, Ed Northrup, Owen Northrup and Bob Northrup.  1 sister - Nancy Clark.  According to her wishes, cremation will take place.  The family will receive friends on Thursday May 19, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home LaGrange, IN.  A memorial service for Betty will be held on Thursday may 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating.  Arrangements are by Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.
