Ralph D. Harter, age 76, of 215 W. South St., LaGrange, IN died Monday May 9, 2011 at 5:08 p.m. at his residence.  He was born on September 18, 1934 in St Joseph County, MI to Clarence & Grace (Sink) Harter.  Ralph had worked as a welder most of his life.  He is survived by; 2 sons - Clarence & Joy Harter of LaGrange, IN and Richard & Lisa Harter of LaGrange, IN.  1 daughter - Belinda Harter of Kendallville, IN.  1 sister - Gladys Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters - Pearl Jordan and Edith Hodges, 3 brothers - John, Louis and Wayne Harter and 1 son - Jerry Harter on March 25, 1998.  According to his wishes cremation will take place.  A memorial service for Ralph will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.
