Rodney A. Hunter, age 67, of 202 W. South St., LaGrange, IN died Monday January 17, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at his Residence.  He was born in Van Wert County, OH on March 6, 1943 to Myron B. & Rachel (Thornell) Hunter.  Rodney served in the army from 1962 to 1966 where he received the code of conduct medal and a parachutist badge.  He was a graduate of Kendallville High School and received a football scholarship to Purdue University. He was a farmer for most of his life until his retirement.  He married Nancy Deal in Brimfield on August 26, 1966.  She survives in LaGrange. He is also survived by his mother - Rachel Hunter of Sarasota, FL.  2 daughters - Paula & Rick Timbs of Wolcottville, IN and Raquel Hunter of Lowell, MI.  2 sons - Anthony Lee Little of and Kevin Neil Hunter both of LaGrange, IN.  3 brothers -   Stanley & Jean Hunter of KY.  Lowell & Donna Hunter of Wolcottville, IN. Merrill Hunter of Kendallville, IN.  3 sisters Betty & Kenny Anspach of Sarasota, FL.  Ruby & Steve Teeple of Bradenton, FL and Bonita & Harold Burtner of Muncie, IN.  7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in Death by his father and 1 brother - Leslie Hunter.  Visitation will be held on Saturday January 22, 2011 from 1 to 6 P.M. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 P.M. with the Pastor Jeff Farnham officiating.  Arrangements are by Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.
