Barbara E. McDonald, 81, of 770 N. 75 E., LaGrange, IN. died on Tuesday November 23, 2010 at 1:55 A.M. at Lifecare Center of LaGrange, LaGrange, IN. She was born on March 24, 1929 in LaGrange, Indiana to D.C. & Ellen (Skaggs) Combs. She married Max McDonald on July 3, 1964 in LaGrange. He survives. Barbara had Worked at LaGrange Hospital for 21 years as a nursing assistant in the OB department. She enjoyed cooking for her family, her flower garden and most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by: 2 daughters - Mrs. Donald (Kay) Wilkinson of LaGrange IN and Mrs. Mike (Deb) McDonald of Shipshewana IN. 2 stepsons - Gary McDonald of Rome City, IN and Terry McDonald of Kendallville, IN. 1 sister: Mrs. Arthur (Hazel) Hentzel of LaGrange, IN. 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Her parents, 1 grandchild - Timothy Dinkins, 2 brothers - William Ray Combs and Leroy Combs, 1 Sister - Myrtle Combs and 1 Son in Law - Donald Wilkinson. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 27, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday November 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Combs (nephew) and Rev. Mike Howard of the Gospel Light Baptist Church, Kendallville, IN officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.
