Carol Grove Harrell, 68, of Avon Park, Florida passed away Friday, November 19^th, 2010 at her home.  She was born August 12, 1942 in Dekalb County to Gordon and Violet Emerick Elkins, who preceded her in death.  .  She was an active member of the VFW and American Legion Posts.  She was known for her excellent cooking and huge heart.  She will be deeply missed by all she touched.  She married Phil Grove on January 14, 1980.  He preceded her in death on July 21, 2004.  She then married Wayne Harrell on February 14, 2006 in Avon Park.  He survives.  Also surviving are a brother, Robert and Mo Day of Sebring, FL;  two daughters, Vicki Basham of Avon Park, FL and Cindy and John Watkins of Angola, IN;  two stepsons, Bill Grove of Angola, IN and Keith and Leslie Harrell of Knoxville, TN;  Four Stepdaughters, Kieata Menster of Angola, Vianna and Terry Elkins of Angola, Cindy and Mike Weed of Sebring., FL and Melissa Harrell of Sebring, FL.  Twelve grandchildren, Mitch Everage, Abby Miller, Melissa Zeeb, Fallan Green, Krystal Menster, Austin and Terris Elkins, Deven, Kendall and Ian Harrell, Sadie and Michael Weed, and five great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Vernie Elkins, a grandson, Derek Everage and a great-grandson.  Visitation will be Friday November 26, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.  The funeral service will be Saturday November 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor Russell Hepler officiating.  Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery.  A celebration of her life will be held immediately afterwards at the American Legion in Angola, IN.  A memorial in Florida will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Hospice, Sebring, FL.  Arrangements by Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.
