Mary Dietrich

After a courageous eighteen month battle with cancer, Mary Alice (Weible) Dietrich entered into heaven on September 8th, 2010.  Mary was born in Angola on December 22, 1940.  On August 17, 1958 she married Lawrence (Bud) Dietrich.  Mary loved to laugh, work in the yard and explore her artistic side.  She loved having her family around her and looked forward with great anticipation to the holidays, especially Christmas.  With a festive spirit and a talent for decorating, she would create a winter wonderland for all to enjoy.  She experienced great joy spending time with her good friends, and traveling to Missouri and southern California.  Mary was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.  Mary is survived by her loving & devoted husband of 52 years - Lawrence (Bud) Dietrich Jr. and her three children;  Bridget (Kevin) Wengert, Lawrence (Larry) Dietrich III of Kendallville, and Alicia (Karen Renz) Dietrich (Clinton, WA)... and her grandchildren - Stanley Schmidt, Nathan (Elisha) Schmidt, Nicole Schmidt, Matthew Dietrich, Lawrence Dietrich IV, and Mason Wengert.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph & Annabelle Weible, her infant brother Frank, her sister Beverly Cleveland and her grandchild Joey Dietrich.  Services will be held at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange, Indiana.  Viewing will be on Monday September 13, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Shriner of St John Lutheran Church officiating.  Viewing will also be from 10-11 prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and the staff of Parkview Memorial Hospital and Kendallville Parkview Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, Parkview Hospice Center or St John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.  Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN is in charge of the arrangements.
