Madola M. Sprague, age 99, of 509 N. Townline Rd., LaGrange, IN died Friday March 19, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Millers Merry Manor, LaGrange, IN. She was born on January 9, 1911 in LaGrange, IN to Pius Alton & IO Bernice (Adams) Long. She married Ralph W. Sprague on October 1, 1932. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1976. Madola had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at LaGrange Hospital where she retired in the late 1970's. She was a former member of Tri Kappa and was a strong advocate for the LaGrange County Library. She enjoyed reading. Surviving are 3 sons - Dr. David S. Sprague of Eaton Rapids, MI, Thomas N. Sprague of LaGrange, IN and Phillip S. Sprague of Plattsburg, NY. 1 brother - Robert Long of Howe, IN. 1 sister - Marjorie Clum of Northville, MI. 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by; her parents, husband, 1 sister - Mildred Knapp, 2 brothers - Giles Long and Clarence Long, 2 infant siblings, 1 granddaughter - Jennifer Sprague and 1 grandson - Phillip R. Sprague. According to her wishes, cremation has taken. A Memorial Service will be be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. with the Pastor Wilbur Yates officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.
