Doris I. Cord, age 94, of 11291 County Line Road, Spring Hill, FL died at 9:55 P.M. on Wednesday January 6, 2010 at her residence. She was born in LaGrange, IN on April 26, 1915 to John & Katie (Grove) McElhenie. She married Edward M. Cord on June 5, 1944 in Ft Wayne, IN. He preceeded her in death on April 4, 2007. Doris was employed at Fremens - General Tubes in Sturgis, MI before retiring. She was a life member of the DAV & VFW. She is survived by 2 sons - Douglas E. & (Karen) Cord of Spring Hill, FL and Dewayne E. & (Deborah) Cord of Union City, MI. 5 Grandchildren - Diana Patterson, Sherry Jones, Jennifer Neher, Jessica Gray and Lindsey Locker and 10 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11A.M. - 1 P.M. Saturday January 23, 2010 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.
