Joyce A. Troyer, 61 of Fort Wayne died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at her residence following a battle with cancer. Joyce was a graduate of Wakarusa High School and had lived in LaGrange most of her life. she was a professional secretary and had worked as a manager in the retail industry. Joyce moved to Fort Wayne in 1993. She was born June 27, 1948 in Goshen to Lars and Ruby (Nettleton) Jensen. she married David Wayne Troyer in 1969. He survives in Shipshewana. Also surviving are 3 daughters - Sheila Troyer and Karen Tarnow of Fort Wayne, Sharleen and Phillip DeJohn of Fort Wayne and Shalisa and David Baxter of Kendallville. 4 sisters - Yvonne and Gene Ford of Goshen, Joan and Devon Lawrence of Goshen, Jean and Bill Kercher of Goshen and June and Larry Elliot of North Carolina. 1 brother - Jerry Jensen of Goshen. 8 grandchildren - Brandon Caldwell, Erika Caldwell, Alexis DeJohn, Miah DeJohn, Jordan Baxter, Jalyn Baxter, Drew Baxter and Brooke Baxter. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter - Shari Troyer; a sister - Judy Defour; and a niece, Candy Jensen. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 19, 2009 at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange with the Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery in Shipshewana.
