Dearl W. Melton, age 51, of 2520 E SR 120, Howe, Indiana died Saturday September 12, 2009 at 4:55 A.M. at Parkview Hospital LaGrange. He was born on March 14, 1958 in Prarie County, Kentucky to Marion & Lillie Mae (Jent) Melton. He married Dawn Miller on February 19, 1993 in LaGrange, Indiana. She survives. Dearl was a self-employed electrician. He was a graduate of Glen Oaks Community College and received a Electronics Certificate and an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Technolgy. While attending Glen Oaks he received the United States Achievement Academy "National Commemorative Certificate" and a Certificate of Achievement in Minority Leadership. He is survived by his wife - Dawn Melton of Howe, IN. Mother - Lillie Mae Melton of Litt Carr, KY, 1 son - Jeremy Wayne Melton, at home. 4 daughters - Jillian Nicole Melton and Jennifer Linette Melton both at home, Amber Melton of Shreveport, LA and Rebecca Robertson of Conroe, TX. 2 brothers - Charles & (Mildred) Melton of Chavies, KY and Billy Dean Melton of Litt Carr, KY. 4 sisters - Joyce Ann & ( Mark) Pierson of Harrison, OH, Brenda Kay & (Mike) Miller of LaGrange, IN, Doris Jean & (Hubert) Pratt of Litt Carr, KY and Shirley Slone of Pine Top, KY. He was preceeded in death by his Father, 2 brothers - William Melton of Litt Carr, KY and Robert Melton of Texas. 1 sister - Carolyn Sexton of Litt Carr, KY. 1 Son - Dearl W. Melton Jr of Texas and 1 daughter - Tiffany Melton of Texas. Visitation will be held at Carney-Frost Funeral Home on Tuesday September 15, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. The funeral service will be on Wednesday September 16, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Dennis Rainsberger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Howe, Indiana.
