Clarence A. Johnloz, age 62, died Thursday August 13, 2009 at 11:03 A.M. at 4780 W 700 N., Shipshewana, Indiana.
He was born on January 6, 1947 in Sturgis, Michigan to Albert & Maxine (Williams) Johnloz. He was in the United
States Army from November 27, 1968 to October 9, 1970. He was a sharpshooter during the Vietnam War and received the
National Defense Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and two Overseas Bars. Clarence was employed
at ACM Plastics in Sturgis, Michigan most of his life. He later worked at the Laundromat in Sturgis, Michigan for the
past two years. He was a member of the VFW in Sturgis, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, watching the traffic on the
toll road, playing on the computer and watching Walker Texas Ranger and Charmed on TV. He is survived by; 1 daughter
- April & (Phil Jr) Ackerman of LaGrange, Indiana. 2 sons - Jason Blassingam of Kansas and Jeff Blassingam of Jackson,
Michigan. 2 brothers - John & (Joann) Johnloz - Shipshewana, Indiana and Wayne & (Kathy) Johnloz of Bronson,
Michigan. 4 sisters - Loretta & (Howard) Yoder of Shipshewana, Indiana., Alberta & (Melvin) Scott of Constantine,
Michigan., RoseAnn & (John) Tullos of White Pigeon, Michigan., Vicki & (Mike) Blevins of Bristol, Indiana. 5
grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents and 1 grandson - Tyler Studeman.
A private family viewing will be held on Monday August 17, 2009. The Funeral Service with full military rites and burial
will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at 11:30 A.M. at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Following
the burial, a luncheon will be held at 1:30 P.M. a the VFW, 264 W Fawn River Road., Sturgis, Michigan. Arrangements
are by Carney-Frost Funeral Home.
