Helen L. Donley, age 87, dof 206 Apple Valey Ct., LaGrange, Indiana died Thursday May 14, 2009 at 4:15 A.M. at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange. She was born on July 18, 1921 in Sturgis, Michigan to William & Nettie (Kielkopf) Whitsel. She married Fay Donley on June 30, 1945. He preceeded her in death on January 3, 1999. Mrs Donley had worked at Midwest Tool & Cutlery in Sturgis, Michigan. She retired in the late 1970's. She enjoyed reading, traveling and crocheting baby blankets to donate to charity. She loved her sister, daughters, grandchildren and especially her 2 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Howe United Methodist Church, AARP and the Council on Aging in LaGrange. She is survived by 2 daughters; Carol Stump of LaGrange, Indiana and Sherry & (Thomas) Mason of Howe, Indiana. 1 sister - Mona Tobias of Sturgis, Michigan. 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband and 1 granddaughter - Kasey Mason in 1997. According to her wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Riverside cemetery in Howe, Indiana with the Rev. Ken Weaver officiating.
