Thomas Montgomery, Age 53, of 720 S. Poplar St., LaGrange, Indiana died Saturday May 9, 2009 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange Indiana. He was born on January 10, 1956 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Keith & Rosa (James) Montgomery. He served in the United States Navy from October 23, 1974 to October 24, 1978. He then joined the Navy reserves and was discharged on May 22, 1980. He was formerly employed at the Sturgis Foundry in Sturgis, Michigan for 2 years and was currently employed at Middlebury Hardwood Products in Middlebury, Indiana. He was a member of the D.A.V. He is survived by 1 son - Trevor Montgomery of LaGrange, Indiana. 2 daughters - Rosa Montgomery of LaGrange, Indiana and Holly Baker of Iowa. 1 stepson - James Naylor of LaGrange, Indiana. 1 Brother - Frank & Bev Montgomery of Iowa and 1 granddaughter - Iajha Scaife of LaGrange, Indiana. He was preceeded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Weaver officiating. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post #215. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
